UPDATE: 20:40PM  — No of deaths in the blast have risen to 2. 

Mardan: A massive blast has been reported from Chamtaar police check post in Mardan district of KPK. According to reports, one police officer has lost life in this blast while 3 others are injured.  Fresh police force along with 1122 Rescue teams has reached the check post and injured have been shifted to hospital.

Martyred police officer has been identified as Head Constable Maqsood. He was 35. Injured included 2 FC jawans named Fayyaz and Karim while ASI Sohail Khan is also among injured.

It is still unclear if this was a suicide attack or a planted device detonation. Investigations are still going on as per reports. No one has claimed the responsibility of this blast.
