Five militants gunned down in Northwest Pakistan

PESHAWAR:Five terrorists are killed in gunfight with Pakistani soldiers in Spinwam area of erstwhile North Waziristan tribal district on wee hours of Sunday.

Reports claim security forces observed suspicious movement in near Kaka Ziarat and Qadam Mela area of Spinwam Norther Waziristan. Upon engagement the, terrorists opened fire on security forces.

Five alleged terrorists were killed in retaliatory fire by the soldiers.

One soldier named Saeed, belonging to Jhang District of Punjab is also injured in the gunfight, he received 5 bullets.

The mentioned routes are often used by militants for movement crossing from Afghanistan and attacking Pakistani Security forces.
The bodied of the terrorists were recovered from a nullah near the firing spot.

During COVID pandemic, more than 20 terrorists have been killed in tribal belt since forces detected their presence and movement which was made difficult due to lock-down.
